makeup removers: -Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm i love this product not only because its clean and natural, but because it isn’t oily and doesn’t leave a residue like many other cleansing balms. i personally don’t wear any liquid/cream makeup (powders only as I think its better for keeping pores clean). so when my makeup is light and minimal, I skip my cleanser and use this alone. the formula feels great when my skin is dry since there is no glycerine/soap in this. *if you have lash extensions this should not be used around the eyes as it is an oil based product*
cleansers: -Origins A Perfect World Antioxidant Cleanser with White Tea one of those products you fall in love with and use forever. normally I wouldn’t recommend a gel cleanser for dry skin as foaming agents can strip too much oil from the skin, however thats not the case with this cleanser. its so gentle and really makes my skin feel clean without making it tight or dry. in my opinion, this is great for dry, oily, or combination skin.
-IS Clinicals Cleansing Complex if you have oily, or acne prone skin… this cleanser is great. its a gel cleanser, meaning its going to lather and break up oil to keep your skin free of breakouts. i like to use this when my skin isn’t as clear as I want, or after workouts to really get a really deep clean.
exfoliators:
AHAS- great for anyone concerned with sun damage, uneven texture, or hyperpigmentation BHAS- great for anyone concerned with blackheads, milia, and large pores
-Dr. Dennis Gross Daily Peel Pads any product with a gentle acid like a BHA or an AHA is going to be considered a chemical exfoliator. these acids shimmy dead skin off of your face to reveal smoother & brighter skin. there is no scrubbing involved so they are great for anyone with sensitive skin. i really love these pads and think they do a great job or giving me a smooth texture and glow after a week of consistent use. they come in an original formula and an extra strength so you can choose accordingly based on what your skin can handle.
-SkinCeuticals Retinol Refining Night Cream be careful and consult with a dermatologist prior to using a retinol. it is a much more intense form of exfoliation that can cause irritation & flakiness if it is not used properly. retinols promote cell turnover, improve the appearance of fine lines and discoloration, refine pores to minimize blemishes and bumps on the face. they come in varying strengths so be sure to chose a strength accordingly. i buffer my retinol by mixing a very small amount with a thick moisturizer. *retinol increases photosensitivity (sensitivity to the sun) so you MUST USE SUNSCREEN EVERY DAY
-Lancer Skincare The Method: Polish if youre looking for a physical exfoliator/scrub, i love this one. the beads are super tiny so they dont abrade or tear the skin the way some other scrubs do. it feels like sandpaper in paste form, in a good way, and your skin feels insanely soft after. this polish comes in a few formulas that you can choose from depending on your skin type
serums: i highly recommend using a vitamin c serum. vitamin c is a potent antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals & aids your skin repairing damaged skin cells. if you want bright, glowy skin or suffer from hyper pigmentation… a vitamin c serum is a must.
-splurge-worthy: SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic ingredients are super effective (everything from this brand is)
-middle of the road: Obagi Medical Professional- C Serum 20% this is what im currently using, i love the texture of this one that leaves your skin soft and not sticky. 20% is their greatest strength so if youre looking to correct some tone or pigmentation issues, i would go with this one or the above.
-budget-friendly: Paulas Choice Vitamin C Booster not quite a serum, but its a booster that can be mixed in with your moisturizer or other skincare products. about 1/3 of the cost of the serum mentioned above but still super effective!
moisturizers: -Skinceuticals Triple Lipid Restore a splurge, but nothing compares to it and it does last me 7-8 months of daily use. its unlike any moisturizer and is full of ingredients to plump and hydrate the skin. my skin looks super full and smooth in the morning when i use this.
sunscreens: -Elta MD UV Clear Broad Spectrum spf 46 so lightweight, absorbs quickly, and smells pretty without being overpowering. it absorbs transparent so you won’t have any white residue, and is formulated specifically for acne prone skin… so it almost doubles as an acne treatment. this one is definitely my favorite, and works great year round.
-Coola Full Spectrum 360 Sun Silk Drops Organic Sunscreen spf 30 another amazing, lightweight, pleasant smelling sunscreen. this goes on like a serum, so I love it in the summertime when I don’t need a lot of extra moisture, or am on vacation and want to keep things light.
i shop all of my skincare on dermstore.com as they carry most professional products and everything i mentioned above (aside from the cleanser), and if you decide you dont love something you can send it back. if you spend $50 you can use the following code to get 15% off of your order. youll just enter the referral code when you make your account and checkout.

waxing upkeep: -Fur Oil THIS WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE, I PROMISE. as someone with dark, coarse hair… I have searched high & low for the perfect ingrown hair products and hair growth inhibitors. i’ve tried them all, but none have ever compared to Fur Oil. this is a product you can use multiple times per week to keep your regrowth soft and supple, while preventing ingrowns from occurring by keeping the pores clear. i love using it between waxes or shaving, and is definitely one of my holy grail products that I will use for life. while it was originally formulated for pubic hair, it can be used anywhere.
-Dry Brush dry brushes can be found almost anywhere. they are a great way to exfoliate the skin in general, but especially between shaving and wax appointments. dry brushing sweeps away dead skin & ensures the pores stay free of buildup that causes ingrown hairs or bumps. it also increases circulation & lymphatic drainage. make sure you choose a brush that has soft, bendable bristles
lash extension products: —Chrissanthie Cleanser I recommend this cleanser to anyone who has lash extensions. its a tea tree cleanser that is super effective at cleaning between all of those fine lashes. it removes buildup of dirt, sweat, & bacteria better than any other lash cleanser and is tear-free, so it won’t burn your eyes. this can be purchased on Amazon.
-Miscellar water there are many brands of miscellar water. i don’t find theres a huge difference between them, so pick whichever brand you like. i recommend this to clients for removing eye makeup since all products used on the eyes should be oil free when wearing extensions. miscellar water and a qtip are great for removing shadow, and non waterproof liner.
